My Story_

I started IKB Boutique in 2009, after realizing that my love of fashion and jewellery could be turned into a profession. I've always been inspired by nature, the arts, and the people I've met to create both original and commissioned articles of jewellery.
To be honest, I enjoy designing custommade pieces the most, because I feel as though everyone’s spirit should be portrayed in their jewellery, and I work hard to make that happen. We're all unique, and I hope to reflect that in my creations.
For my collections, I often create a limited number of pieces, ensuring their rarity and future value.
I studied post-secondary education at George Brown College, Toronto for Fashion Management and graduated in 2007. Since, I've worked with other independent designers, clothing wholesalers, and retailers to learn more insight into the fashion industry.
I participate in fashion shows, the Sarnia Artwalk, Petrolia Art in The Park, and other events. You may have seen my work in local stores, Toronto, and in the U.S. I'm a proud supporter of my community, but it's always exciting to send custom work around the world!
I'm thankful for the support from my family, friends, and customers. I guess you could say that this all started with my mother Linda, who, as a teacher and occasional seamstress, taught me from a young age that it's always possible to bring your imagination into reality. Hours spent with her at fabric and craft stores showed me a seemingly limitless palate with which to create.

Testimonials

Kim Doyon

"I had an amazing experience working with Ingrid to create a unique and special necklace and earring set for my bridemaids in my wedding. While Ingrid provided expert advice and thoughtful suggestions, she made me feel a part of the process by allowing me to make the important decisions on the colours, beads, thread and clasps. Ingrid has much enthusiasm and it was so refreshing to have her as excited about the pieces as I was. The end results were beautiful, and I could not have asked for more perfect and clean sets. I cannot wait to give these gifts to my friends and have them wear them on my special day. Thank you so much Ingrid."

Beth Ray

"I had the lucky opportunity to be invited to a jewelry show of Ingrid's pieces and I was taken immediately with her creative, artistic talents. Since that time I have commissioned Ingrid to make me numerous pairs of earrings, pendants and bracelets. I've given them as gifts to family overseas and within Canada and everyone has loved their gifts. I wear Ingrid's creations almost constantly and I receive many compliments on my accessories wherever I go. The most remarkable thing is the uniqueness in that you can own a one of a kind piece of jewelry."

Carol & Ciara

"When we were first introduced to Ingrid's work we were very excited. Having a teenage daughter who likes to be a trendsetter and is very original with her style, it meant having a hand in designing her own necklace and earrings. Ingrid took Ciara's ideas and created the most beautiful string of pearls and unique earrings for my daughter to wear at her movie premiere. Bless you Ingrid, your flair and skills exceeded our expectations."

Natasha Lynne

"I have had the ultimate pleasure of meeting Ingrid Banovsky, Owner/Designer of IKB Boutique. I am always in search of the creative exquisite designs in jewellery and I feel that Ingrid has been able to "capture" her niche. I feel that the jewellery I wear is as personal as I am and is a very important staple in how I present myself. Shopping at IKB Boutique is like finding the hidden treasure at the bottom of an ocean. Well done Ingrid...thank you for your creativity. What an awesome gift you have been given!"
